Thought I’d post a few pictures of the painting and installation of the impulse crystal. Nothing too exciting, but something to look at nevertheless.

It is a shame that nobody, not a damn soul had posted anything to your blog Sir. I am horrified with the lack of support or even acknowledge for your work. I have my 1/350 tucked inside my wardrobe for years, afraid of not being able to built it together the proper way….but finally I’m taking command of my fears and been doing some research around the net.
I’m following you, please, keep posting….and thank you!

About the crystals, I have seen that guy that made some cool, alhough not true to the movie model, lightings, where the crystal impulse has a led chaser, it kind of brings the model to life… what do you think of a led chaser on the crystal impulse dome?
Also I liked he used an alphanumeric led red display in the bussard colector that goes around as in a working machine… what do you think of that? I’m gonna use that on my model…. as I said, it makes the ship alive…..

I’ve seen that model in person it’s….unique. I’m trying to strive for accuracy here. But, it’s your model. The only person you need to please is yourself!

True true, I see what you mean about accuracy…. and I really like (and got the laughs) how you make any excuse to whip it out the co2 laser… lol….. it is awesome!!!
I guess a not too bright and slow led chaser at the crystal impulse dome is a nice adition, not “deforming” the original from the movie version that much….and the bussard thingie I imagine is too much for any serious model builder….but I guess It can be made sutil…
Can I ask you how much a small plaque with enterprise’s shields up costs nowadays….?
